Pricing

Every product in your catalog has a wholesale cost — this is what you pay IIMMPACT per transaction. You can then set a price adjustment to control what your users pay. This can be a markup (charge more) or a discount (charge less).

How Pricing Works

Face Value (standard product price)
± Price Adjustment (markup or discount)
  ──────────────────────────────────
  = What Your User Pays

Your margin is the difference between what your user pays and your wholesale cost.

Markup example — charge more than face value to earn a margin:

A RM 30 mobile reload costs you RM 29.55. You add a RM 0.50 fixed markup:

  • Face value: RM 30.00
  • User pays: RM 30.50 (face value + RM 0.50)
  • Your cost: RM 29.55
  • Your margin: RM 0.95

Discount example — charge less than face value to attract users:

A RM 30 mobile reload costs you RM 29.55. You set a RM 0.50 fixed discount:

  • Face value: RM 30.00
  • User pays: RM 29.50 (face value - RM 0.50)
  • Your cost: RM 29.55
  • Your margin: -RM 0.05 (loss)

Viewing Your Costs

From the Dashboard, you can see your cost discount for every product in the product catalog table. When you open a product, you can also see the cost and selling price for each denomination.

Setting Price Adjustments

Price adjustments let you control what your end users pay. You can configure adjustments per product from the Dashboard.

Two adjustment types are available. For each, you choose a direction (markup or discount) and enter a value:

Adjustment TypeHow It WorksMarkup ExampleDiscount Example
FixedAdd or subtract a fixed amount from face valueRM 0.50 markupRM 0.50 discount
PercentageIncrease or decrease the face value by a percentage3% markup3% discount

TIP

Price adjustments are optional. If you don't set one, your users pay the standard face value.

Loss Risk Warning

If your price adjustment is set too low, you could end up charging users less than your wholesale cost — resulting in a loss. The Dashboard will warn you in real time when you edit your price adjustment if it creates a loss risk.

Important

Wholesale cost and margin data is for your business only. Do not display this information to your end users.
